Design services include conceptual plans, final master plans, garden
design, and ecological restoration. Plans often include environmentally sensitive components such as rain gardens, vegetated swales, meadows, and native host plants, which improve wildlife value and increase stormwater infiltration. Some projects from the last few years are shown below.

This conceptual plan for the River Valley Waldorf School Organic-Biodynamic Vegetable Garden was an exciting opportunity to develop a place for young people to grow vegetables, plant orchard trees, enjoy colorful pollinator (flower) gardens, learn about wildlife habitat, and enjoy the beautiful Bucks County landscape.

Project construction began in fall 2012. We are looking forward to many additions to this wonderful garden.

This project began with the home owner’s desire to improve the appearance of an existing detention basin which occupied most of the front yard. By re-grading the site and replacing the existing impoundment with a weir, the basin area will become a vibrant native rain garden, providing not only color and texture throughout the year, but also creating considerable wildlife habitat.

Gardens surrounding the home call for ornamental cultivars of species seeded in the rain garden. Thus, the transition from an orderly and more formal layout around the large home is in harmony with the meadow-like grasses and flowering perennials that compose the rain garden.
