RAIN GARDEN at the UNITED FRIENDS SCHOOL
At the United Friends School in Quakertown, we designed and installed a rain garden on the playground. This has been a great success - both for kids and for native plants, monarch caterpillars, and salamanders. Elementary students helped plant the rain garden and are often found playing among the plants.

GARDEN CLASSES at UNITED FRIENDS SCHOOL With this AWARD WINNING PROGRAM we teach gardening and land stewardship classes by utilizing the on-site community garden and the school campus. Our preschool gardening program runs all summer and culminates in a garden party. This summer program is free and open to all pre-schoolers in the community.

BIO-DYNAMIC & ORGANIC GARDEN AT
RIVER VALLEY WALDORF SCHOOL
Designing the school garden at the River Valley Waldorf School in Upper Black Eddy, PA was as much fun as watching it grow. Raised garden beds spiral around a central shade flag area used for class meetings. The garden includes a small orchard, native plants for wildlife, compost areas, pollinator flower beds, and a small garden shed.

LANDSCAPE MASTER PLAN for THE LOTUS SCHOOL (FORMERLY TINICUM ARTS & SCIENCE)
A creek, remnant woodlands and hedgerows, and large open areas create wonderful opportunities for ecological restoration and agricultural development on this beautiful rural property.

Working with a classroom of students, we collaborated to create a comprehensive master plan that enhanced the existing ecology, created a matrix of trails through wooded areas, and provided native garden, meadow, and rain garden areas.
